Learning Exchange Residencies offers time, space, and resource for artists to build connections and create potential for collaboration and co-learning across the two cities. From May - July 2025 six Newcastle based artists will travel to Nantes for a mini-residency hosted by Paradise.

The selected artists for 2025 are Marek Gabrysch/Lindsay Duncanson, Lucy Heaton, Izaak Gledhill, Afonso Ferreira De Lima Sanches, Niall Greaves, and LC.

Below you will find a brief introduction to each artist and how they plan to approach the residency.

Learning Exchange Residencies is a collaboration between Paradise (FR), The NewBridge Project (UK), and artist Andrew Wilson (UK).

Paradise is an art project dedicated to national and international artist residencies located in the city centre of Nantes and curated by artists Béatrice Dacher & Michel Gerson. www.galerie-paradise.fr

The NewBridge Project is an artist-led space in Newcastle upon Tyne that supports artists with an ambitious programme of exhibitions, events, commissions, and development opportunities. www.thenewbridgeproject.com
